Hey guys, one of my 3 brothers is medically confined to the sofa for the foreseeable future, and the rest of us are trying to find a PS4 shooter that we could multiplayer with him over the holidays. Ideally it would allow us to create a PvE multiplayer game. The 4 of us used to play Ghost Recon on PC back in the day and it would be great to relive some of those moments. TIA
GR Breakpoint with all DLCās and updates is in a fine spot now, especially with a few friends.
Warframe is another weird and cool option, but in the end plays more like a Diablo-Shooter ARPG than a pure FPS. But a LOT of hours can be spent in this game. Its become truely huge, but as a consequence the early start is a bit of a slog playing through the āoldā content.
Borderlands 3 is a hoot with 3 other people.
Deep Rock Galactic, while not really a FPS but more a session based co-op shooter, would be my absolute game of the year. It helped me through a covid infection when we had the first waves. And the game features lots of randomization to keep litteraly every match fresh.
Destiny 2 is a great game for the story until youāre left completing āgrocery listsā to further quests. It then stops being fun quickly.
Warzone 2.0 is super fun with 2 other mates as well.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. Free. Besides the Battle Royale Fortnite style, it has a co-op like mode (DMZ Mode) where you can play with friends and work together to extract while fighting off other human players and AI.
Thanks guys. Those both sound like good suggestions. What about voice coms? Should we do that over PS4, or mobile phones? I guess that a Bluetooth headset would work for both. I guess that we could all use Discord over mobile phone too.
Create a party and enjoy PS voicechat!
Iām not too familiar with the PS4 but Insurgency: Sandstorm might be an option ā¦
I too am dabbling in CoD 2022 atm. Just stupid, arcadey fun.
Dial me up if you need an extra.
Iād concur with @Yassy on all his suggestions, though Iāve never played DRG.
Borderlands is just stupid, over the top fun.
Warframe in particular, seems to really leverage cooperation with the different ācharactersā and you can play for a good long time grinding for all the stuff.
Have you guys tried The Division and its successor? Itās not exactly what youāre looking for since itās a third person shooter but thereās a plethora of content to go through and I found it very fun to coop with a friend. Itās a PvE looter shooter, but thereās some highly rewarding PvEvP content to go through as well in case you want to raise the stakes. On the PS store the games are still a bit expensive but you can find hard copies on the cheap.
Division 1 and 2 are definitely fun with a few mates. Story is also quite well done.
I am not a fan of the gear threadmill afterwards, but until then definitely great fun with mates regardless.
