New carrier-born to DCS

On the last newsletter, ED put them…

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3625468&postcount=159

As we grow the naval aviation component of DCS World with the Hornet, Tomcat, and other future carrier-borne aircraft , the Arleigh Burke is a much-needed component to create a modern, realistic naval task force.

RAZBAM A-7, very improbable.
Heatblur A-6, not sure.
ED future aircraft?, unknown
F4u1 Corsair, unknown.

But when?

[Insert ‘Two more weeks’ joke here]

Love our new destroyer as well. She looks like a pretty modern variant. It appears she has hangars for her helicopters, so Flight IIA or better me thinks (unless NB or NN99 correct me)

Yep, that’s a IIA- USS Michael Murphy. I’m wondering if we’ll get a Flight I as well, to simulate older time periods.

Just because it was never in a a movie, a scooter would be fun too…

They were featured prominently in the best movie…

but I was hoping for a “Flight of the Scooter”

At least it doesn’t have the ugly RMS sponson spoiling its lines. A Flight I would be much appreciated for the 90s pocalypse that is inbound.

Please?

You guys must have had a few too many at happy hour.

Sounds more like they’re just leaving the door open, not explicitly confirming anything.

Well…yes…of course…isn’t that the whole point of “happy hour”?…or else it would be just “hour”…plus I might argue that there is no such thing as “a few too many”…just say’n

I can think of two nights in particular, one at Marker 20, one at Manhattan’s, that definitively prove otherwise.

Make that three. One at Hot Tuna (is that still a place?).

Marker 20 is still around…the VU alumni in Hampton had a Game Watch there a few weeks back. VU beat Temple.

That was our haunt back in the shipyard days- a couple of buddies of mine met their wives there, and we were trying to figure out how to steal the marlin over the door before we moved to San Diego, but couldn’t put a plan together in time. Plus, we didn’t want to mess it up for the one friend’s (at the time) fiancee.
