Looking for a new rig.Tried three outlets.
Going to move my 4090 over. They all say they have to have a video card even though they package it separately!?!?
hate to just get a cheap one and let it collect dust . Seems like a waste of money. Any thoughts?

Why not order parts and build yourself?
The places I buy at online will pre-assemble parts for a fee. Mindfactory.de and Alternate.de
Guess you‘re looking for USA based businesses, though? Where are you at?

Speaking of which… I might consider something for myself, for Christmas.

Somebody got a bonus at work!
RAM is expensive right now, but there‘s nice CPU options for gaming with the 7600X3D and 7500X3D.

No reason, other than curiosity. And convenience. Time-wise it’s worth it for me to pay somebody a little extra to do that.
I doubt it’s any more complicated than it was 20+ years ago; setting dip switches, etc. etc.
thanks.

Appreciate that thanks. I’ll keep looking when I get a chance.
Gone are the times of IRQ conflicts, DMA channels and bus terminators!
Building PC‘s is as easy as it gets today. The only thing you can fumble is power budget, cooling and size/clearings. It‘s shocking how big coolers are and how quickly a new chip can heat up in the blink of an eye.

Pulled the trigger. My 5 YO PC will be demoted in a couple of weeks.
The $50.00 a month new PC coffee can is empty again.
9800X3D, 64GB, gen 5 m.2 x 4TB, etc, etc. back of the napkin SWAG says should be a good performance boost over the 2020 rig.
For this genre $2500 +/- always seems to be the cost for a slightly less than cuttting edge rig every 5–ish years. Carrying over the GPU is the catch.
