No notifications anymore

I don’t know if this is the section to post it, but I don’t seem to get notifications anymore from Mudspike. Last one was from August as far as I can tell. I’m not a very frequent visitor/poster but I would like regular updates to a topic of which I should get notifications (Troll’s Styrspak). Can I activate it somewhere?

Hi Frits, if you look at the bottom of the topic you should see a ‘bell’ icon where you can adjust the notifications for the thread. I’m guessing you have it set to ‘Normal’ instead of ‘Watching’.

Trying to quote you to see if you get a notification email.

If you want notification of posts in a topic you need to change this setting.

Hey, there @PaulRix…! That may be interpreted as Good influencing…

Maybe I should delete my post!

Hadn’t really thought about it recently but it has been quite some time since I received any email notifications from Mudspike.

Just as a confirmation that any emails are being sent, I received email notifications about replies quoting my posts two days ago (which is what I have asked the forum for).

If you go to your profile in Mudspike, then preferences (cog/gear icon), then E-mail (letter icon), what is it set to?

Mine is set to only email me for mentions, replies and activity in watched topics when I am away.

If yours is the same, it could be that one of your devices is logged in and appears as active all the time, thus the system isn’t sending mails.

Try changing it to always

Everything already was on ‘always’, except for the last: ‘weekly’.

@Fridge, you have any idea what’s going on?

Sorry. I got an email notification with the @mention, so I know that part of the system is working. I don’t get notifications for threads though. The piece that Troll noted above (with the Tracking/Normal/Muted selection, is more about flagging the messages in the bar at the top of the screen when you log in.

My guess is that this would be a spam filter. I don’t see anything in the admin console that jumps out at me.

Sometimes it has to do with the recipients email domain. I am still using AOL.

My personal email is still a “hotmail.com” … but I use my gmail if I have to tell someone verbally what my email is :joy:

They don’t appear in the spam directory too.

So no clue.
