Office 365 broken after latest patch - fix here

If you support or use Office 365 and Outlook or other Office apps won’t start this morning, here is the fix.

Delete these keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Licensing\CurrentSkuIdForApp
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Experiment
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentTas

Yeah, it really cut into my weekend. I spent 5 hours troubleshooting on Saturday night, which would have been better spent flying the VRS Superbug, before we realized that the problem was widespread. Like as in 10 desktops out of every 50. Good revenue generator though.

Yeah. Good for you I guess. :slight_smile:
(But I will be honest: things like that made me stop a lot of MS products, including Office, some years ago.)
