And another - Man’s second best friend.
Welcome Sir Harry Bumcrack!
Beautiful stout looking horses … what breed? They look part mule.
Thanks for the welcome Ser Elby.
The Bay and Chestnut are Brumby (Australian wild horse) geldings, about the size of a large pony but have the stamina of a thoroughbred and more than stout enough to carry my chunky body ![]()
The grey mare in the foreground is an Irish Sport who was once a champion ‘three day event’ horse who we rescued after her competion days were done.
0300 the panic is over. My two GSDs do not like thunder. The retreiver being a gundog wonders what the panic is about. Sadly we have now taught the young pup panic as an association with thunder. My wife woke up and said is it raining. I could hear the downpour. She called out “the covers”. I got up and beat her downstairs moving at high mach speeds, hurdling an interested threesome of doggies. Naked in the rain we brought in the cushions from the outside furniture. Now we are keeping the pups company as the storm moves.
Good to hear all are safe. I know the feeling - we have one Ridgeback who also hates thunder.
I woke up with Dozer my Golden retriever next to me snoring. Evidently the lightning spooked him. Poor boy
He’s got a little raincoat! ![]()
My little princess likes to lay on the furry pillows when it’s raining outside LOL! …
That reminds me of how much my cat likes rain.
…when she is inside, watching it through the window. ![]()
Last fall, the remnants of a hurricane hit Pennsylvania. Due to some very old drainage pipes, there was some significant flooding in our lower patio.
As such, I found myself out there in the Hurricane rain, trying to jury rig a pond pump to the wrong size hose in the hopes of preventing any more water coming in the house.
Ralphie came to help me.
This is as far as he got.
Which was farther than his sister.![]()
lol that’s a great look.
It is indeed priceless! LOL!
We call it the autumn indicator.
As soon as the temperatures start dropping below 20°C the cat will take every opportunity to get onto a human’s lap and/or sleep in a bed.
If only, ever since he got neutered he’s very strictly no-touchy, unless when you catch him sleeping, then by his grace you get 5 minutes until he’s fully awake. His sister on the other hand…
This is my boy Artie. He just turned 1 on Sept.24th.
This is him, Nov. 6th of last year, when we picked him out. He’s an American Bulldog
All 3 very sweet dogs.
My two just got back from the vet for a teeth cleaning and some minor surgery.
As you can see, they loved it.
Is you certain that’s a dog you adopted and not a bear?
