What a pup, what a face!

This morning he is teaching me semaphore. One ear horizontal the other down. If you are ever near RAF Cranwell or Conningsby I am near there. My older GSD would have woofs to say to a dog napper even though she is a softy.

Does anybody else believe that dogs are a miracle that mankind does not deserve? I mean if there was a biological CAD program to create a new species. We would be hard-pressed to supplant the infallible canine.
Every human culture creates “heroes”, extraordinary individuals who accomplish what is deemed impossible deeds or some such comic book tripe.
Yet at some point in our history, perhaps while our common ancestors were huddled around a campfire. This animal decided to ingratiate itself with us. Motivated by hunger, shelter from the harsh elements? Or maybe this animal was born with the instinctive knowledge that life is just better in symbiosis with us.
We have been gifted a protector, emotional benefactor an unfaltering companion who cares for our wellbeing more than their own.

Miracles my friends, furry miracles…

Well said @PatMat. Whenever I see a personal support dog doing its thing it almost brings a tear to my eye. We drag them to hell and back with us too! They probably enjoy the work.
