I knew it wouldn’t be long. The house is way too quiet without a dog… especially since with the exception of the past few weeks there has always been at least one puppy underfoot for over 30 years.
This little girl will be coming to live with us as soon as she is old enough to travel

haha yeah though I think it’s mostly a camera efffect, she was chilling on the warm wood and her paws were fully extended towards the camera!

Purebred, but we adopted a ridgeless puppy. So I guess she is a Rhodesian Smoothback 
Just the right mix of curiosity and caution with this one. Totally unfussed with a two hour flight and one hour drive.

She isn’t just soft. She is soo! soft.
But it is hard to find a half decent photo where she isn’t snuggled up to a dog or another cat.

My two kittens rarely can be seen on their own either. Usually one is using the other as her pillow.
But here they are busy watching birds:
(Right now they are around half the size of a grownup kitty).
