The sensible thing to do rather than scaring new members off by shouting at them 
Can we all be a little more welcoming mudspike? Not everyone knows the rules right away.

I do want to get into multiplayer, but I really only spent any considerable time in the F-22 and nobody is allowing any mods in the rooms
Mods really bring some issues, bugs and to a lot of extents some balancing woes. Besides in order to have a mod available in an online server, every player must have it installed to be able to join. You can see how it brings some problems.
So Servers usually only allow for the official planes from DCS and third parties. If you are familiar with the F22, you definitely can fly the FC3 F-15 since it has the exact same bindings (Flaming Cliffs) and systems (same AA radar, for instance). Find servers with F-15 slots and have fun!
