Well, I know when I’m seeing a real pilot at work. I can barely land in a brisk breeze in-sim…
Totally flightsim though.
MSFS 2024 at its best I guess?
And I repeat: I could never replicate that, at least not at my current level. Even a stiff breeze gives me a fight.
Well… I’ve seen real-life flying nearly as impressive, but with passengers lives on the line a “real” pilot would probably go-around if he dipped down as low as that appeared. In the sim I might go for it, knowing that my chances of pulling it off except by luck are just about zero.
Actually… No I wouldn’t. I would probably have to finally learn more about go-arounds.
I thought you meant real pilot as in real flying.
The youtuber that posted it definitely tries to pass it off as real
See? This is why I hate neatly all video content. The internet is a hive of a billion jackals competing for clicks and likes.
While my crew and I were briefing for Zurich a couple if nights ago, one of suddenly cried “Aw man!” What’a wrong? We asked. “I traded London for this flight and now the London just cancelled due to winds!” That crew didn’t get the night off though. They sent them to Marrakesh.
We need to make it a gif…
How does that work? If a flight is canceled for external events do you guys still get paid the hourly?
Oh yeah! Golden Rule of airline flying: Pilots always get paid*. In my 26 years at this airline this has never happened to me though. Just luck I guess.
*its rarely a freebee. They usually put us on AV days which get converted into some pretty ugly flying.
… so I changed the category to Flight Sims
