Well, we could always hire Lance Armstrong as a test pilot…
This was an interesting read
I like it. It seems like the most sensible solution to me. Keeping close to everything the warthog can do now while tackling problems like low speed, poor acceleration and less than ideal visibility.
Also, possibly an AIM-120 for self defense? Make it happen, ED
Aw man, that chuck norris photoshop effort - Participant medal for that:
I’m just trying to imagine two hog pilots agreeing to go the same way…
Probably the same as the F-82 pilots
Okay John, you see that insurgent vehicle over there? yeah the Toyota with the Dushka on the back. Let’s go strafe it. Okay ready? Ready for guns in six…five…four… …three…twoBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT… holy moly John! I told you to wait! I think we did a full three-sixty.
In ArmA III they have that cool stealthy A-10.
I’d get that one.
In good honesty, @Aginor, it doesn’t look like a very good stealth design to me. The turbines are very exposed and that shows up great on radar. Especially since they aggravate the Doppler effect. If you look at real stealth designs you will see the turbines are tucked away as deeply in the design as possible. Even 4th gen fighters like the F15 and F16 do a decent job at hiding the spinny blades from any angle other than the front!
The angles might reduce the RCS but it will probably rely on instability and FBW to fly right. Not good for redundancy.
I think that the Arma3 Stealth A-10 was done, tongue-in-cheek, poking a little fun at the stealth concept of angles.
Yeah, it isn’t the best design from a stealth point of view.
But it sure looks cool!
From the same site I’ve found this reading.
Quite interesting and relatable to our ARMA needs…
I had expected to read about the space alien Iranians in that! Instead they called it Ariana. Also… looking at the map…
Just make it limnadia and we can proceed with NBs obsession with nuking oregon
You know what they did
Jefferson!!
A plane to replace the A-10?
A faster A-10! See the pointy nose?
Now with a 30mm Railgun mount*!
*No, it’s not.
So ah, where’s the gun again?
Here is your replacement in the hanger -
Here is your replacement in an attack run on a patrol craft -
