In one of the pics @Franze posted above, not only were the guns stuffed on top of the dash, a Nikon with a long lens was too. Those guys had tough job. They brought what they needed to endure and occasionally enjoy the experience.
Fixed that for you. Kiowa pilots were textbook “no ragrets.”
I’m fine with the M4s and smokes, perfect place to stash those for ready use, especially with the glareshield brackets to hold 'em in place. It’s just the water bottle that bothers me.
Thanks! Love the edit.
Maybe they are adding hydration simulation and if you turn if off you begin to suffer dehydration - sloppier control inputs, bouts of fading drowsy vision…
Always keep water close by!
Isn’t this true with Gazelle!?
So technically a Bell 306½
Okay, I have to add that I am really uncomfortable with “and a half” in a helicopter name. Some planes can lose half a wing and still fly - I don’t want my chopper to have half of anything!
Wasn’t that Star Citizen?
Anything involving the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior should by default be treated as “NSFW.”
The three comments I thought about making…couldn’t decide which to go with…you choose.

We know it was accurate because the video only lasts 6 minutes.

Do you think they will add this in DCS-World

I sometimes wonder if checking Mudspike every day is worth while, and then something like this comes along and I know…it is definitely worth it.
That video was hilarious.
I’m trying really hard here to give Polychop the benefit of the doubt but I’m really nervous over what I’m seeing from the flight model so far. I don’t see enough of the quirky nuances in the footage shown thus far like you normally see with the UH-1, Mi-8, and Ka-50, and the OH-58 in particular should have a lot of those.
I’m super excited for this module. The Kiowa is my favorite helo next to the Apache.
It’s gonna be killer in VR…I’m pretty excited about it. But I’m really way overly swamped with modules that I haven’t even scratched the surface of though. There is an awful lot of candy in the candy store these days…
LOL…I noted that you did your typical superlative in-depth analysis in your review on the DCS F-16in the latest issue of PC Pilot…your conclusions were very helpful! Those of us unburdened with editors and deadlines can take a more leisurely survey of the modules.
Thanks! Yes - a systems “FAIR” rating and an 85 reflected the module upon release. I think it is quickly maturing, but I thought that was a fair review rating. Reviewing early release stuff isn’t really ideal…but with things staying in “early access” for years, it is the only thing to do.
