Can you imagine if that had detached in flight? Lucky it didn’t bounce around on takeoff and cause aircraft damage as well.
Edit: Makes me think of that time Jeremy Clarkson used a log on a rope as a makeshift parking break on Top Gear, only for it to bounce around behind the car, and then up and shatter the rear window. Except much much worse in this case.
That is going to be a really embarrassing interview with the FAA and the NTSB.
There is some part of me that questions the efficacy of a tiedown that you can drag behind you as you taxi around, take off with, and not notice until the tower tells you “Ah… you have a cement block tied to your plane”
