Question about an hypothetical PC

I was looking to upgrade my system over the holidays. I was keeping a close eye on the RAM prices. Over Thanksgiving the Corsair 64 (2x32GB) was going for around $430. It is now $875US! LOLOL wow. Micron/Crucial getting out of the consumer market is really going to hurt things. Like, what if they all pull out.

The RAM I have goes for ~1360€ right now. Corsair Dominator 96GB DDR5-6600 CL32, I paid something like 400€…

Yall heard that crucial will exit the consumer market? The reason is that Micron wants to focus on b2b (so, datacenters).

Yeah that’s personally horrible. I can see it makes sense from a capitalist standpoint, but WTF.

I bought 64GB RAM for 247,33 EUR 2 months back.

Price is 532,31 EUR today.

Any excuse to pump up prices. I don‘t believe their lies.

Yes, I am with you on this one just an lame excuse to fleese the consumer… totally outrageous…

Really hope you’re going to enjoy that system, @komemiute . It’s well deserved. I bought a system too back in Feb and thought I was getting a bad deal on prices. I went ahead anyway because I knew this year I had more time for sims and games than in the coming years… Just half a year later and everything got so much worse.
