There is a quick and dirty poll (yes/no) going on over on the DCS Forums gauging interest. Head over there and add your voice - kindly
I voted yes. I would love to try flying a heavy.
Granted, I would like to see a lot of other equipment as well (C.O.B.R.A … I mean AH-1 Cobra/Super Cobra, MH-6 Little Bird, really it’s an endless list) not to mention fixed wing…
Assuming they make that LH X , the CH-53 is one of the most versatile and capable air frames out there. I’d fly the crap out of it.
I voted yes too. I’d love to fly a CH-47 or try a CH-53 and refuel from a C-130 while carrying something like a hummer
Listen, I’m the only one who requests the Hip around here, so I don’t have to vote.
Unimpressed. Now, if they are also ordering take out, then I’m impressed…
Ordering take out? Such a rookie move. They’re going to drop that humvee off in a McDrive.
The humvee is the take out, man!
nom nom nom
I’m all for the CH-53 being one of my favorite helicopters… but did someone say Puma?

(Ok fine it isn’t exactly a Puma… but its developed from it!)
Those caracals would supplement the gazelle nicely and probably whatever deal Polychop made with what is now called airbus helicopters that they haven’t anounced yet.
I voted yes but I’m a but fuzzy about some terms thrown around on ED Forums.
LHA? Low price (19.99$)?
Did I get it right it’s not going to be a full DCS study module but a simpler one (Flaming Cliffs - like?)
In any case, hella good.
The LHA is a boat
Although I do rather hope they change their choice of doing an LHA into doing an LHD, the Wasp LHD specifically.
Whatever they’ll make I’ll happily pretend is a Mistral class too, so it’ll be useful for my gazelle as well I hope buyers can man some of the stations.
I don’t think any naval aviation module would be complete without a corresponding carrier, although you can technically take a harrier off of the Nimitz.
I voted no. But I haven’t been on the DCS forum in 2 years so my vote should carry precious little weight. Heavy anything requires time. 30 minute missions just don’t exist unless you are repositioning the machine from ship to shore. I think their development time would be best spent making light combat and training vehicles that can conceivably be used by the largest possible number of players in realistic, playable scenarios.
Any of the Sikorsky S-65 or S-80 family would be pretty awesome. Bonus points if it were a Pave Low or Super Stallion / Sea Dragon.
Plus one of those UK ‘through-deck cruisers’ (I think they are allowed to say Carrier now?) with Harriers would work as well for that Falklands map .
You’d have to go talk VEAO off their hissy fit to get the FSR.1 though…
