I never really finished it, and hate with a reasonable passion coding in Ruby (turtlenecks itch to wear, and I never really listened to a lot of Radiohead), but all the source code for extensions to the forum are open source here:

Essentially it relies on the structure of wikipedia, so if it was converted to donuts then it would need a ordered collection over there for that. The real meat of it is here:

I forgot we had this. @chipwich asking for an aircraft reminded me.

To use, reply with the text (sorry for picture example Dark Theme people)…:

…in a message and it’ll try to make a quiz. It’s pretty dumb and uses wikipedia as the random choice, but the price is good. YMMV.

My work mandated IE6 has disqualified me from this by refusing to understand HTML. So while I won’t guess the name, I will authoritatively state whatever it might be, it’s uggo af.

Didn’t I post the XPS-1 in an earlier “guess the airplane” thread?

Yeah, ‘random’ is a generous misnomer for the bot really - it only takes the first page or so from wikipedia (so is limited to early on in the alphabet) and even then it only uses ones with pictures. Dupes galore!

Haha that XPS-1 is hilarious! Looks like something out of a children’s book.

“ … the pilot had no forward view, but was provided with flexible celluloid side windows …”

That’s…one way of doing it.

For a PG rated film, they flew a lot of crap under the radar.

Fun fact: Spaceballs was rated PG when it came out.
