Pretty much. I am not interested in a C at all, but the E sounds good if it is fairly complete (no clue about the Razbam’s status).
@Torc sounds like bad news for my i5-9600K…

I find it’s fine after the radar simulation settles down (about 15 to 30 seconds). But that happens right after wheels up … and then my old 3060 Ti is the limiting factor…
Back on topic, the F-15E is clearly people’s focus since it’s the most recent and the most popular, but I dread losing the Mirage 2000 and Harrier! Both are excellent simulations of lovely airplanes.
I haven’t yet spent much time in the MiG-19. I think I should correct that in the near future…
The Mirage is the only one I bought, but yeah, losing it would hurt. I enjoyed flying it.
I’ve only dabbled with DCS since Ukraine so I really don’t have cause to be put out by the loss. I experienced 100s of hours of real joy with both the Mirage and the Harrier. I was almost proficient in both. So thanks Razbam! Before you took your ball and ran home in a huff, we had some real fun together.
This situation is just another reason I hate the early access/continual development game these days, yet we’re forced to play because that’s the status quo.
If these modules go under, which they eventually will if ED doesn’t have the source code, how does this not break EU consumer law?
This guy claims he reached out to Nick Gray and RZ about this - got reply only from ED side (you can skip to 4:00)
The F-4E was the last contender in the evaluation that led towards the Viggen project, so it’s ok in my book!
I just hope I dont loose a bunch of money on modules I paid for. The C is just an altogether different bird. “Not a pound of air to ground” … Remember?
And I just had an epiphany… Wouldnt this be the best time for ED to say… “We are releasing the Pacific Thearter with the Corsair and Carriers!” In two weeks we would be like Raz Who?
i think the germany map may be either pre-sale or possibly released in the next patch
Time to get them Luftwaffe F-4 skins ready
That’s pretty telling.
Razbam is all too eager to air out grievances, but when directly emailed in confidentiality? Radio silence.
Admittedly, the idea of SwAF Phantoms with Swedish mods to the powerplants and avionics sounds kind of sexy.
I will point out that what Juice is saying corroborates with something I’d heard a while back.
I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what is defined in the license contract everyone of us read and signed and is totally fine with EU law. Remember: you don’t own a piece of software but a license to use it.
ED even gives you the opportunity to downgrade your build number to a version of your liking.
Well, they’re gone from steam as well now…
Well, the contract can’t break the EU consumer laws if it’s sold in EU countries. The whole debacle with Ubisoft shutting down The Crew a year ago sparked a Stop Killing Games movement, which can further push things in favor of the consumers.

Regarding downgrading - recently I wanted to downgrade or rather download earlier version - you can do that with dcs_updater, pretty old build (like 1.2 and 1.5) - is not available, I think the last supported version might be somwhere around 2.5.x
Recently I’ve been down the Eagle Dynamics memory lane playing their older games - Flanker, Flanker 2, Lock On. It’s nice to still have the ability to play them (those with Starforce DRM like Flaming Cliffs 1 and 2 might be problematic though on new PCs). Since DCS World is not so young anymore - the first release was back in 2012, I was looking for a way to play those old builds again. I know that with the DCS Updater you can downgreade your DCS World version to earlier release, but AFAIK with…
Downgrading is honestly a Hobson’s Choice that shouldn’t even be offered as a “solution.”
I’m pretty sure the only reason it was offered for the VEAO Hawk is that the upgraded game engine just didn’t work with the older model and textures. I’m not sure if this was PBO (I think it was long before that), but it was some technical upgrade like that.
And they rightly caught a lot of bad comments about it as well!
