I don’t suppose someone could explain changing the laser codes for lgbs please I don’t seem to see how
At the moment, the Harrier laser-guided bombs are preset to a laser code of 1688. For other aircraft, you can ask the ground crew to change it (or change it through the kneeboard) but somehow RAZBAM has not implemented this functionality yet.
You can set the laser code of the targeting pod laser though.
Thanks Chuck I worked out the tgp end but was stumped with the bombs. It gave the 1111 error in the hud
For me I always pull the sensor select aft to bring up the DMT to laser and put the code in I want to use. That seems to make all onboard laser munitions look for that code; I tested with a code of 1337 and it worked with the AGM-65E and GBU-12/16.
You can’t set the code on the UFC with weight on the wheels. It defaults to 1111. Not sure if you were trying in the air or not.
The code in flight has always worked for me. (But I have to do it twice. I am a code 1234 kinda guy. I figure no one’s though of that one.)
6969 or bust!
Oh, the image!!
I bet that is one of the most common passwords used.
Heads up to the other VTOL lovers out there, the Harrier currently appears to have a small bug where the speedbrake extends on startup and remains extended. Both with auto-start and manual, online and offline.
Well, well, well…glad to see this has finally been addressed. Looks like it is time to get back into the Harrier and fly it off the Tarawa.
Dumb question, sorry - but has something changed around the way the screens / menus work in the Harrier in the last ~3-4 months?
I tried to fly it online last night and kept going from TGP to DMT unintentionally and was only able to release bombs some of the time, it was strange.
It is possible that I was just HOTAS fumbling / going crazy, of course - I haven’t flown her for a while…but it seemed that my muscle memory was somehow off, so wanted to check if there has been an update to the interface.
Any time you have a major update like 2.5.5 to 2.5.6 I always double check most of control mappings. They can get changed sometimes.
Because software.
Are you using a hat switch or axis.
Hat switch.
This is an excellent video (which i came across in one of the discord channels i frequent)
& it is really worthy of your viewing if you do any mission editing
the author has taken their time to produce some excellent data
some interesting bugs identified:
from ~05:30 onwards regarding VTOL with windspeed at or above 21 knots
& at ~07:20 onwards lead A/C fully loaded TO takes a looong time to get to 81 kts IAS, MAUW <25092…
obviously all of this only applies to AI aircraft (not if you’re placing MP clients)
but still worth taking note of
Yeah, he does a really nice job with his videos which in many instances are geared towards mission editor work. If I’m looking to do something and I may have forgotten how, his channel is one of the ones I check back on for tips and tricks.
