LHA-1 Tarawa. The America is the LHA-6, which superficially resembles the LHD-1 (doesn’t have the missing “cheeks”
Also I’m not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but they’re still missing the two most important ARG classes: A Austin or San Antonio class LPD and a Whidbey Island or Harper’s Ferry class LSD.

Not bad if RAZBAM can build that ships to complete them and other assets and ED build other helos (CH-46, CH-53, V-22) to a Marine MEU a DDG arleigh burke to boost the air defence and a 688, Seaworlf or Virginia to ASW defense, now the Kilos has converted on a “plausible” Treat…

Fantastic to see new ships, I am a bit of a navy buff. Interesting choice of classes though, those expeditionary ships sure are exotic.
Interesting to see the Oliver Perry class, which seems to be a different version than the one from ED (late version with SAM launcher removed). I hope they did not have to duplicate work on the rest of the ship.

Is it correct to assume that ships don’t have a “flight model” per se? So is it more of an endeavor to create a 3D model and assign it weapons and AI traits? I just honestly don’t know how ships are considered in DCS World as far as how they move, or float, or accelerate or all that stuff…
I go to open a “post” to not hickyack them… we can talk very long about them and the “ground” environment, on DCS: World.

At 1:15 … does that sound like a coffee peculator to anyone else? Then a vacuum cleaner at 1:25? I always thought that cleaning the cockpit up after takeoff meant pulling in the gear and flaps

With the lack of Sub Surface simulation ruling out the Romeo, the MH-60S is probably the sexiest non-Cobra helicopter I could imagine coming to DCS. Navy Battlehawk with the pedigree of a Phrog?

Still working on the TGP. I’m going slower than expected because I am learning how to manage the LITENING.
Two screenshots of the latest test. The left MPCD is displayng a generic camera that is looking forward with no Zoom. The right MPCD, with the legend VIDEO RIGHT, is displaying the TGP camera with Zoom factor 6 and Zoom factor 0.
You can see the difference in resolution with the generic camera in the left MpCD.

Is that FLIR a color mapping like in the A-10 or is that something more advanced?
I will bet you like, 5,000 internet points it’s the same IR technology as the A-10.
