RAZBAM - DCS: F-15E Announced

Must be over my head

It’s a reference to Space Quest 6.

It was a friendly dig at their biggest adventure game competitor, LucasArts.

ah I missed that one i guess. I remember Kings Quest, but not space quest.

I should add that adding anything else than potato salad to a Schnitzel is an act of war in Austria.

Space Quest and King’s Quest were great games. Also enjoyed the Leisure Suit Larry titles

When it comes to flight sims the last one I bought (and subsequently realized I was horrible at) was EF2000. This was right about the same time I picked up Jane’s Longbow and also realized I was just as bad at that one. LOL… Sensing a theme here?

Hit Play and close your eyes

RAZBAM…

I have just about every one of their products and I must sadly admit that most were developed in ā€œThe Land of Not Kwite Riteā€.

You mention that their DCS HARRIER still has issues months after release. Well, their FSX HARRIER (both USMC and RAF/RN versions) have a glaring Waypoint bug…it just starts jumping waypoints way before the next WP…no way to manually return to the correct waypoint. I put in a trouble call months before they dropped FSX for DCS…never fixed.

Their A-7 TACPACK version has VC visual bugs which I find hard to understand because its the same cockpit they have already put out in the non-TACPACK version. Regardless, it never got beyond the Beta stage before they went DCS…so I guess I’m still Beta testing it…kind of like a never ending Groundhog Day Beta test.

I like RAZBAM’s stuff…I really, really like it. Especially their A-7 packs…and even the Harriers…but, in the FSX world, there is always a bit of disappointment–just enough to pull you to of the flying emersion–to temper the exhilaration.

Saw this at simhq. Pretty sure it’s a MudHen, And pretty sure this is a good reason to visit Wales.

Those are F-15Es from the 492nd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath. One of the WSOs in those photos happens to be a member of these very forums.

Very cool @klarsnow! That must be an exhilarating ride. One of my biggest regrets looking back is that I should have pushed myself harder to become aircrew during my time in the RAF. Ancient history now though.

@klarsnow didn’t know you are a WSO. Very cool!

Google and/or YouTube search ā€œMach Loopā€ - it’s the UK’s low level route. I’ve got an FSX flight plan if anyone is interested - but you really need the ORBX Wales scenery.

Next time you might try to stick up something with ā€œMUDSPIKEā€ on it near the canopy rail (if you can do it safely and won’t get into trouble of course). There are so many photographers and videographers covering the Mach Loop, it’s bound to show up on the internet.
