I think Razbam confirmed thatâs the same old F-15E model thatâs been in place for years.
Pretty cool feature, was wondering if they ever implement it, this is how it looks IRL on GR7:
Those chevrons seem to behave more erratic on the RL vid (as you would expect).
They even pick up sun reflected off of the water around 1:00 mark.
Thatâs an improvement for sure!
A very needed one tooâŚ
Oh la la! Mais oui, sâil vous plaĂŽt!!
AV-8B Plus?
Mudhen
Whoâs that poor sod that gets to make one PR screenshot a year of Razbamâs Mudhen? I want to buy that guy/gal a strong drink.
I think they take turns⌠Anything else would just be cruel.
lol it feels like a lonely artist finished some stuff and took a screenshot (cause theyâre a little proud of themselves) and sent to the boss on the other side of the world who immediately thought it was cool and posted it on FacebookâŚ
And yet, I get excited⌠Whatâs wrong with me?
If thatâs wrong, I donât want to be right.
Some day mudhen is going to happen. And some day itâs going to be as good as mirage and harrier are, and imo, those are great.
Thatâs the whole point of posting those teaser pics⌠Yeah, they get me everytime too!
To be fairâŚThe Strike Eagle really wouldnât be half of what it should be without a Ground RadarâŚwhich ED implemented in The Hornet this yr but is still very much a WIPâŚIMO
So wouldnât the ViggenâŚ
Doesnât the Mirage has a ground radar? (or is that using the ED engine?)
I think itâs fair to assume Razbam did not show good project management on this(I know, what a unique point of viewâŚ). For instance: if they couldnât deliver the F15 because of the lack of subsystems, why pick it up in the first place? I mean, I know why. Itâs a very popular aircraft and I reckon those US 4th gen fighters are a gold mine. So the âslotâ - so to speak - has a ton of value.
What I think happened is that it they work on too many projects on a very slow pace, probably few programmers around the world working mostly by themselves and getting a small bonus paycheck probably some not even working full time, while Razbam is just securing rights, dibs, and doing the publishing work with ED (and hopefully with the manufacturers for licensing as well). This slow speed did not survive the pace of development of DCS by itself and they have been locked in place playing catch up for a while. Maybe the pace has picked up, who knows, they donât talk too much.
I mean, itâs crazy. When I go to the multiplayer servers, if the hornet and Viper are anything to go by⌠Those US 4th gen planes must be a gold mine. The F-15⌠well, is a freaking F-15. If I was a company, with the rights and dibs to develop an F-15, Iâd be laser focused on it. Just imagine the cash out when it went live? Iâm talking purely out of my impression so I can be absolutely wrong, but it just looks like the Hornet bumped EDâs revenue by a considerable margin, and so did the F-14 to Heablurâs. I canât imagine itâs on their best interest to sit on top of the Strike Eagle indefinitely, so thatâs why I think they bit more than they could chew and actually ran into problems into the development. I donât think itâs fair to assume this is on ED not delivering some important engineâŚ
Now again this is not a nervous forum rant, because Iâm a grown man and donât feel entitled to products that doesnât even exist yet, but those are my conjectures to why we havenât been shown much so far (Because letâs face it, we saw that same cockpit angle in a picture from 2018 - 3 years ago - with the displays off, granted).
Anyway I really wish I just said the dumbest thing in this post and next week weâll see it going to preorder. Iâll be gladly put on my place, humiliated and around 50 bucks poorer.
