I remember your handle ! Mine was already iborg back then. I still fondly remember nights spent flying online in Warbirds 3, the introduction of the new European map, the raging FM debates, evrything. I flew with Jdg 80 (Hell’s Aces).
Eventually RL caught back and I had to leave off. I still have WB in my Steam wish list for nostalgia’s sake, but even if it came back to full glorious life, 20 years later my own life wouldn’t allow the dusk-to-dawn playing sessions I did back then…

Welcome to Mudspike iborg! I definitely remember your callsign. IIRC you knocked me out of the virtual sky on more than one occasion! 
Like you, life has moved on for me at this point and I couldn’t go back to that level of commitment to an online sim. I had some great times with it though, met some great people and it even led me to my present job. Funny how things can work out.
I hope you stick around with us here at Mudspike. It’s a civilized corner of the internet with quite a few old timers from way back when.

I guess I’ll stick around, since I’m back to flying DCS these days (I also have Il-2 BoS/BoM installed, thugh not having that much time to play in and am waiting impatiently for FS2020). I just hopped in the VR bandwagon (Rift S) and it’s indeed even more of a step forward than my first TrackIR back then 
Gotta rebuild the HOTAS muscle memory before I step into MP again… Gonna do Baltic Dragon’s Red Flag campaign for the Mirage 2000C first.

It’s not on their website, and there’s a game released called warbirds 2020 on steam. Looks like they pulled the plug on backing it.
Going off that article, and the fact that ientertainment already released the 2020 version, looks like it wasn’t good enough for MP to back it or some contract stuff fell through.
Something is going on because Wild Bill is the CEO of ientertainment, so who knows?
Yeah, when I saw the P-51 renders I didn’t see this one making it.

Glass half full; less to distract time/money/other resources from the title MP has in its stable.
