He’s the Supersize Me guy. That movie pretty much made fast food a once-every-couple-of-months proposition for me. Fast Food is bigger than ever. And so are people. I’m guessing that he avoided it too and still died young-ish. So I guess we should eat what we like and live each day like it’s our last.
Knew the name sounded familiar. Cancer was what did him in at such a young age.

Sad. That Supersize Me thing he did has lots of holes in it though. No, it’s not healthy but evidently he was drunk pretty much the whole time back then, by his own admission, so that would account for some of his problems.
Anyway, sad to see someone die at such a young age.
Yeah there were huge hole in his “data”. But it was fun if not a little gross at times.
Sad of course. I’d pretty much weaned myself off of TV even by then (of course I’d heard the phrase) - no idea really who that was.
Yup. Fast-food was, in my memory anyway, different up until, oh, about the late 70’s. Now I have no idea how much actual ‘food’ is in there.
AND it seems ‘they’ think I didn’t notice that:
- The portions are smaller; the quality is worse; the price is higher.
- A Hersey bar was twice the thickness as it is now (they changed this about 30 years ago)
While we’re beating on fast food, it’s expensive and slow now compared to when I was a teenager (at least where I live).
RIP Morgan Spurlock, you at least did something worthwhile with your life that touched a lot of people!
