Scale Modellers, lets talk :)

I’am more into ships when it comes to scale modelling. At the moment (read weeks/months), I work on a Tirpitz model.
This is the little stack:

Unfortunately I am still looking for an affordable model of a Project 22160. The Combrig version costs 200€

I live in Tromsø, where she was sunk… Want me to get you some Tirpitz artifacts to display with your model?

Cool little Visby class Corvette!

Those extras in the third pic are separate. But the kit comes with a really nice photo etch sheet with a great two layer panel, seatbelts and lots of goodies, shown in the first pic. It also comes with canopy masks and a very nice resin propeller if you want to make the wooden prop version, which I do.

I got mine directly from Eduard and they have a great webshop that will show you all the associated stuff they made for their kits. Makes it hard to resist buying more…

The extra Instrument panel was the first I got from their ”Löök” product series. I normally like to paint my own. I don’t even use pre painted photo etch, as I think the colors usually won’t match my paints. But this little pre painted resin panel is a work of art!
I got the resin wheels because of the nice little embossed Messerschmitt logo on the hubcaps.

The kit itself was just released on the 1st of May. I read about it in the Eduard Info magazine and this kit was evidently started by another company, but Eduard took over somewhere along the line. It looks really nice! The clear parts are very nice. There are a completely closed single canopy part and split parts if you want to pose it in open position. All the flight controls are separate and have a subtle canvas look.

does it come with those extra’s in box, or separate?

Eduard has a few different grades of kits, from what I can tell. The “Weekend Edition” is just a standard kit. The “ProfiPack” kits come with photoetch parts and pre-cut masks. There are a couple grades above that but I can’t find solid info on them.

Royal Class, which often has two kits, a ton of decals and goodies galore. I have their 1/48 Me-109E1 and Me-110 that both has 1/4 scale instrument panels. If only they had continued this quarter scale panels for other aircraft!
They also have Limited Editions where they usually use someone elses kit and re-sell it with Eduard extras and new decals.

That would be awesome! Can I get back to you when I finish building her?

Royal class! That’s it. I couldn’t find many on their website but saw someone make one a while back.

Meanwhile I’ve been trying to polish a bit of a turd kit from 1984 with some stretched sprue antenna work:

Excuse the double-post, but finished the Hawkeye.

That turned out beautiful @Clutch!

Thanks! I’m pretty sure those antenna cables carried the weight of it

Lovely work and an interesting subject.

Got this in my mailbox today! Been waiting for a Norwegian Hobbyshop to get it in stock. They’ve been sold out for months. So long, in fact, that my $100 gift card had expired…! :flushed: Imagine that. Selling gift cards for real money and then say the card will expire…! Well, the money they got for it sure didn’t expire. The store reset the expiriation on the card and all was well. Phew!

What’s that round thingy…?

Here’s a cool stop-motion build of it.

You could use modeling tissue paper and banana oil to fore the wings and rear fuselage. Just a thought.

I like this. It made me chuckle

You could also use
