Schurem's Phight Club (2024-15-09)

is allright mate, we’ll be up for an hour or so, and tomorrow evening some more.

Thanks for letting me play in the big league. I started getting my eye in and saw aircraft. I found my track ir couldn’t follow well enough when the target flew outside my 17" screen. A big monitor or vr will be coming this summer.

Last night was not the sort of night I could be online and have a clear mind so… I hope nobody missed an extra target.

Beside that, feel free to keep me posted.
I’m still the best bullet magnet/sponge in the DCS environment.

To be perfectly honest, I was tail chasing you in the su27 at one point and broke off when I saw it was you, but you really were not making it easy for me! I was pretty close to tagging you a couple of times but it was definitely not an easy one.

Best one of the night for me was against @Wes in our Sabres. Good god that was fun!

This we most definitely are not. We’re just a bunch of friends having fun and trying to learn an exceedingly difficult martial art.

Perhaps one or more of us will get good enough to try the truly big leagues such as Moltars tournaments.

If some of @Franze’s beautiful technical execution, patience and discipline were to rub off on me, or my sense of aggression and punchiness were to end up in his heart, we both might have a shot at making it out of the preliminaries in one of those I think.

I definitely have positive potential to be a target drone. Without a single doubt in my mind. I might even re designate myself to

I think with some patience you can be as deadly as @Franze, yesterday’s performance was not the top of your ability :stuck_out_tongue:

Should I distribute the tacview take? How should I go about doing that?
This might be handy for those who want the ability to do a detailed debrief. Knowing speed, energy state and even control deflections can be a huge boon. “Aaah, so that’s how he did that!”

I edited the mission so there’s now two of every aircraft. That way we can choose to have 2v2 same craft matches if we want. Or just get a spitfire if the other is taken in a furball.

I wouldn’t mind seeing this. It could be useful

I think Franz is deadly. I never escaped him once it was a deadly arena. I was bad in the Viper and worse in the warbirds. But it was Fun!

About to go live! I’ll take a break for the spaceX launch if that goes through.

Roger, I’ll be on shortly

That’s what it’s all about!! It is seriously good fun.

Until some sneaky bugger sneaks up behind you in a viper and PIMP SLAPS YOU! Then runs off!!

Sorry fellas. I’m not feeling well. On top of that I got a 4:30 wakeup. Catch up soon

It’s cool mate. There’ll be next times  But watch out for @Victork2, he’s improving frightfully. @wes and @Franze are both right dangerous and great teachers. It’s a joy to behold.

My gunnery sucks.

Wrong, you are my favourite sparring partner as we’re pretty close matched in skill level. If I make a mistake, you are there to make it felt, yet somehow I did also manage to win against you sometimes.

I also love rolling with @Victork2 because what he lacks in stick finesse, he makes up in sheer gumption and tenacity. The difference in how you fly in the first round, and the last one is always inspiring.

I mean, I have fun dancing with @Franze, but that’s like sparring with the master. No way I can get a punch in  Such a skill differential. I feel honoured and humbled by your skill Franze! So much to learn.

But like @sobek said in the music thread, the only way to get better is to keep trying, and actively seek out challenges and improve on your weaknesses.

I love how you all managed to get that Jiu Jitsu Dojo atmosphere I was hoping for. Let’s do this again soon!

Again, thank you very much to all participants! :salute:
