i would be up for that
Count me in.
I’d love to join, not sure if able to.
I just joined the Discord Fighter-Ops channel and booting the server.
sorry had to zoom off guys … had to do dad taxi stuff, thought I had got away with it
Had a fun time flying over Germany with @chipwich , @miRage and @tempusmurphy . Sorry you had to leave so early Lee… but what a dramatic exit you made! If it’s any consolation, I bent my gear and skidded off the runway on landing
It was my first flight using a Stream Deck (standard 15 button unit). It worked great for some of the harder to get to buttons and switches in the F4 front office.
Likewise, Paul. Yeah, two run-offs, and a flame out was quite a dramatic ending for a rather unproductive mission. The bad guys were certainly disciplined for holding their fire Kudos for getting some bullets on target. I’m going to take a look at that mission to make it more palatable.
OK, I found out what happened to the OFOR. Derby’s mission and the one that I wanted to fly had similar names, so my bad. We were actually flying the same mission as the last meeting, which had limited enemy. No matter, the one that I wanted to try had limited slots. I’m editing it to be more suited for our meetings and shaping it more as a NATO vs Warsaw Pact sandbox.
I hope that no one minds that I’ve added one community mod, the OH-6A. So for rotor, we’ll have OH-58, OH-6, AH-64, CH-47, UH-1, and SA342 to chose from. For jet aircraft will be 80’s NATO, so will remove the rest of the Soviet and non period correct aircraft from the Blue side.
I’m also enabling Dot-Neutral labels for those of us flying in VR, with range set to automatic. If that becomes too much of a crutch, we can disable them.
Nice flying with you guys.
@PaulRix I first read you were flying on a Steam Deck before I saw that I missed an R
Some screens I posted on Discord:
The weather, while visually spectacular, made this mission really challenging. Those rain squalls made it almost impossible to see the targets (or the runway).
