Meanwhile, the result was positive at 2 minutes of the 15 it takes. Still positive at 15, 20, 30…
So. The test showed positive at 2 minutes and remained so ever since. Its meant to take up to 15 minutes.
How long does it take to get over it?
At this stage you probably got a milder variant. I’d say you should experience normal flu symptoms 4-6 days. What troubled me was that I had a lingering dry cough and a slight shortness of breath several weeks post infection.
Hope you get well soon, @Scoop!
Get well soon @Scoop sorry to hear about the golden. Lovely dog and a great shame. Mine is 12 and I’m in constant fear of the same thing. Love to you and Fliss
My experience earlier this year pretty much matched @Troll 's. Ass kicked for a few days, then back on my wobbly feet. Though I didn’t feel completely right for another couple of months. As Troll said, hopefully the current variant is milder.
Get well soon!
Get well soon old man. And condolences with blondie.
Paracetamol & ibuprofen is the key. Paracetamol on its own didn’t help the aches and feeling rough at all.
Sorry to hear about the furry one.
take it easy, put your feet up, time to break out the single malt medicine
Get well soon
I had it bad for about three days, basically stayed in bed for the entire time. I was negative after a week and recovery took another week before I was back to my old self.
All the best!
Hope you have a speedy recovery and I am really sorry to hear about your Goldie. Our boy (Ridgeback) turned 12 last week and is starting to struggle with the steps, so we know it is only a matter of time…
Sorry to hear! The 2nd time I had it I was completely unaware and thought I had some seasonal allergies (minor congestion and minor headache) and only tested when both kids and my wife felt cruddy. I only had the above and some minor fatigue (but who wouldn’t stuck at home with a sick family for a week? ) and got back to 100% quickly without the lingering cough, fatigue or brain fog from the first time. (Part of which I attribute to being stuck in a single room for 14 days with little to do except sleep.)
@Scoop I got it COVID last month, was wired felt fine in the morning but almost feel asleep during a online meeting and felt weak after that, Went to the doc and she confirmed COVID within the first minute of the test.
Felt weak in my muscles but was up and around the next day kinda hazy but good enough to do housework. The day after that was in bed just tired. Then i slowly got better over the next few days. Haze feeling stay with me for about 2 weeks.
Felt like the flu and allergies. Day quill and Motrin did the trick and lots of Orange juice.
Bummed to here about your dog. We got a 10 year old Boxer that is starting to show his age, I dread the day we lose him.
Maybe I wont share that with my wife…
Get well Scoop!
Felicity is where I was a few days ago. I woke up feeling fine, fed the dogs and then wham, giddy, sweating and shivering. The postman delivered this leaflet. The coop must have known how we are feeling.
They’re listening to everything we say!
Sorry to hear, hope she and you both feel better soon.
That’s creepy timing… Hope you both recover soon and can be out walking and playing with the dogs again!
Find out where they live and go kick their ass, scoop!
