During bad thunderstorms, when our dog would hunker down, my dad used to quote anonymously, “Dog know lightning.” We had no idea who he was quoting, but it was funny. In this case, “Dog know space rocket.”
To jump to the docking, go to about 2:44:00.
More about Axiom Space here. The commander has almost 68 hrs EVA, a NASA record.
Billionaires = Heros!
Edit: I think that you’re referring more to a Jeff Bezos than a Steve Fossett, but without knowing either personally, I’ll defend the latter.
Someone has to fund their expeditions. And without those, we wouldn’t be able to explore some of the most remote regions of our planet or push the boundaries of what is accepted as possible. Their survival isn’t guaranteed either. At least we have the option of deciding whether to judge them as a hero, regardless of hype and press releases. There is probably a fair amount of restlessness with their personalities that drives them to be successful in business that spills over into their adventurer’s persona. Whatever the case, I’m glad that we have them. Not everyone is cut out to be a humanitarian.
Tomorrow might finally be the day of the first Starship orbital flight attempt.
Yep, I am excited!
Worst case is that it blows up on the pad and becomes the largest non-nuclear explosion ever.
All other cases mean that we will see spectacular, historic things happen that hopefully won’t destroy anything important.
Yeah. I am going to work from home tomorrow so that I can keep an eye on the stream. Fingers crossed!
About a hour away now. Excitement is rising
Propellant loading underway. 4600 tons of it. That is just mindblowing.
Stream is here btw:
T-35min.
Trying to work from home with Everyday Astronaut, NasaSpaceFlight and Starship Flight Test Mission Control Audio up is … challenging.

Possible issue: Pressurization problem with the booster or sharship … so this may turn into a wet dress rehearsal.
I’m following too, if I understood correctly they have either a 24hrs delay or a 48hrs delay option for the next launch trial- but for now preparation for launch is still in progress.
Scrub. It’s now a wet dress rehearsal.
No launch today.
Back to work for this sad earth bound astronaut
Scrub.
Been watching for over an hour and took a quick call to return to a scrub. Back to work
Well, looks like it will be 48 hours more waiting, at least.
On the plus side, that might very well mean a 4/20 launch
