The Stalker games definitely have their tense moments but to date nothing has made me yell like a little girl more than Alien Isolation!

That just bugged me. The alien just walked around and it irritated me. I find this to be much more atmosphere
This is exactly why I have never even tried Alien Isolation 
Coot from simHQ gifted me the game and I feel a bid bad I never gave it a go

Drove me up the walls
I played Soma for a couple of hours but then got stuck on a puzzle for a long time and gave up.
Statis: Bone Totem is an old school isometric adventure game. It definitely ups the creepiness/disturbing to a level I wasn’t expecting. Really enjoyed it so far, stuck on a puzzle a while back and put it down. Need to get back to it.
For a moment I thought you were talking about that drug from “Brave New World” and was like: “Huh? Sobek just suggested GaiusBaltar should try playing the game while on drugs?”
I think I need a holiday. 
A vacation does sound in order. Despite its notoriety, I hear Pripyat is quite lovely. Especially a section of it called ‘The Zone.’

On xbox game pass it seems to download the whole thing again. Its driving me mad.

Gog galaxy too, while the standalone update/lutris update is 8 gigs. This has happened a lot for Stalker 2, something in the packaging for the auto-updates must be going wrong.
I have it on GoG Galaxy, my update was only 7gb.
Steam shows 120 GB first, but then only downloads 7 GB. I think that’s plenty, but MS Store takes the cake with no delta updates at all. Remind me to never buy big content there.

Maybe they fixed it since I stopped using Galaxy.
The big updates can be a bit inconvenient at times but first and foremost I think about the amazing level of support that GSC has provided for their game. They have been stellar.
Given that they’ve had to clear the hurdles of hacker shenanigans, mafia shakedowns, government threats, and the most destructive land war of the 21st century which has claimed at least one of their own to get STALKER 2 out?
STALKER 2 is their baby. It’s their masterpiece. They want to make it as close to perfect as they can.
I bought the super duper special edition with complete confidence that it’d rule.
