I’ll always be a sucker for these games…
The remake looks still old-ish but seems legit, even if the price is a little too steep for the offer- at the moment.
We will see, but I am keeping my eyes on this.

Factor in that we’re talking about 2 games and network support for multiplayer. Doesn’t seem that steep for the price. I’m grabbing it for sure.
Fair point is fair, indeed.
My sons played the life out of Battlefront and I enjoyed watching them. I tried it for a minute and it was fun but I’m not into multiplayer. I stopped mp after several negative experiences with other games. Now my issue is the time commitment.
Anyway, I agree that it looks old-ish. To me, it looks like they simply moved from 720p to 1080p.
Those games fully supported bots for human vs AI play. I did them coop with a friend years ago, very enjoyable and unlike the newer ones which only offered bots in a couple of modes and never in the vehicle-using ones, they worked in all modes.
Probably end up on the growing list in my ‘Steam Library of Shame’ aka games purchased but never played… But I’ve added it to the wishlist.
There are only 3 assurances in life:
Death.
Taxes.
Unplayed games in your Steam library.
I played these games so much when I was a kid… (with mouse acceleration ). I still remember how stoked I was when Battlefront II came out and we could fly Aegis Interceptors, ARC-170s and A-Wings in space between cruisers… I had spent wayy too much time in the X-Wings, Jedi Starfighters, TIE Fighters and Vulture Droids on the far too small Bespin map in the first game at that point.
Genius….
Gold
FTFY. From someone who has more unplayed games in Epic than the others put together, but at least three in each.
You really did make it more accurate.
“Oh cool, Epic is giving this away for free! Neat! I’ll grab it.”
And then it never gets touched.
Yup, that’s me.
