So, I got her started last night. Is the intention to make the game feel retro?
Some things looked a bit low poly/pixelated. I did have a bit of difficulty switching out of 1920 res to 2k and am not entirely sure that it is running what I think it is.

Yeah I imagined someone would have felt that- yes the texture and overall artistic direction is Hi-Poly/Low Rez.
I can ( almost 
) imagine it being a deal breaker for someone- BUT- I promise you that after a few minutes in the depth of Citadelās bowels you donāt notice it anymore. it just works.
That said I am biased because I still play the original System Shock every December (itās a long story) and for me this art style really does pay the right sort of respect towards its progenitor.

Yeah, the thought did occur to me that they were trying to emulate the feel of the original. Just wanted to make sure.
FWIW, Iāve been playing this and loving it.
I donāt think SS style will be an issue for me! 
Actually, the story of why you replay the original every Christmas sounds exactly like the kind of story Iād like to hear.
