The RNoAF are retiring their Sea King helicopters and are doing a farewell tour of the country.
Today they came by Tromsø, and I was there.
We were treated to some really nice fly-by’s and got to talk to the crew as they landed at the docks to stretch their legs.
They sold Final Flight patches so I bought a few… 
The Sea King is being replaced by the AW101, named SAR Queen in Norway.

Nope. Navy retired theirs in 2011 but considering the replacement we should have held on to them for a while longer…
Sad to see her go. She has saved many lives over her career. Still my favourite helicopter, I just love the weird shape.

I guess the Germans are the last ones left with an operational SAR Sea King now. At least in Western Europe…
