From the manual I can gather that the device itself has a USB port rather than a cable and the diagram suggests that it could (or should) connect to a regular USB on the pc.
I’ve had the PTO 2 for ~6-8 months-ish. I use it in VR so if I’ve been away from the sim for a bit have to work by ‘feel’ more than any other device. But it comes back quick [muscle memory I suppose]. I got it immediately because I’ve wanted something to go ker-thunk with for the landing gear for years. The hook, wing fold and Jett switches - they work for a variety of platforms. I prefer a Universal Cockpit (cos I don’t have the money or space for multiple ones).
Some YT’bers groused about the ‘feel’ of some parts but not an issue to me.
I have the winwing mfd and throttle, so far brilliant build quality and no issues to report, one thing I had to do was 3d print a bracket to for the mounts to the desk
I love my PTO. So sorry TM. China cought you napping and ate your lunch. F-16EX, Love it. Vibrations on the F-15E throttle and F-16EX stick. Hell yeah! PTO in VR, for the win!
Hey I was wondering - do you use a specific software with the PTO2?
I noticed that only in DCS F-18 the lights on the gear lever and all the extras light up when in use…
I’d love to have a simple programmable environment.
As a side note: I do regret a little the time when I felt immersion and excitement just by playing with my keyboard at Strike Eagle 2/F-19/Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat…
No drivers, no updates, no gimmicks- just gaming and fun.
No I do not. I’ll go with what what they said above. I haven’t checked on this in some time but the WinWing software would inject a script that would have an effect on your FPS if you used any of the programmable features. They may have fixed this by now.
About the PTO, I just noticed something very cool. All the Toggle switches are different. I guess they are keeping us VR players in mind. I really like it.
And yes, I need to draw up some profiles for different aircraft including a helo one.
