I feel a distinct lack of excitement. Honestly I haven’t seen enough difference to make a difference between the last few versions, and I don’t expect anything all that noticeable this time, either.
The only reason I might try it is that it will probably be free on Gamepass…

does it have a random event of a gazebo blowing on to the track, or the heater in the drivers cab not working so the unit is pulled

I will have to give that demo a try, it does look very good. I find that there is something very therapeutic about train sims.
Even though Train Simulator ‘Classic’ is definitely looking its age, I have already given Dovetail and 3rd parties too many $$$ for DLC to start again with Train Sim World.
I think our drivers say the same about real trains … especially when they declare a fault and go out of service, heading back to the depot for tea and biscuits… leaving a hundred or so people on my platform, who usually are not quite as understanding or relaxed
Yeah, but just think of all the experience you are getting dealing with ‘anger management issues’ 
Maybe print out some cards with the phone numbers of your ‘district supervisor’ and train driver representative and hand them out with a “Thank you for your patience, these are the numbers you need to call” 
that’s like telling someone to “calm down” when they are in full blown rant mode… like throwing petrol on a small fire with the hopes it will put it out
normally I would “de-rail” their “train” of thought with a question, like “where are you headed”, then give them an alternative route and send them on their way. that gets them out of my hair and on their way 
Hopefully the alternate route was valid.

even I am not that evil … … but I did once tell a customer that the only way he could get to his destination by the time he stated was Teleportation … it didnt go down well
