Some more shots, This game can be so relaxing…even more so now that adaptive cruise was added.
FYI adaptive cruise is the absolute worst bloody invention ever added to a truck. Its absolutely god awful, unpredictable, erratic and totally terrifying when it activates because of something like a bridge parapet sticking out. The stupid bloody thing nearly caused an accident friday night as i was overtaking another truck and was pulling back in when it activated the emergency “lets drop the anchor” brakes for no discernible reason. Its bloody awful.
My 2nd least favourite is mirror cameras. Whoever invented mirror cameras needs a beating with jumper cables.
Not familiar with these, sound horrible though.
The car we rented in Wales a few weeks ago (Renualt Clio), had a speed limiter option in addition to the regular cruise setting. Absolutely loved it, so nice to be able to not have to worry about speeding while still having actual throttle control. Need a little extra to make a pass, just hit a button or tap the brakes and you’re gold. Really wish we had that here in the US (along with the wide variety of compacts I saw over there).
we now have these as door cams on trains, so you don’t need staff to dispatch trains… they only work when the train is stationary. As soon as it starts moving they shut off as to not distract the driver, all well and good until some semi drunk business man leaves their laptop on the train. and then tries to force the now moving trains doors open and falls between the edge of the platform and the train … loosing both legs above the knee …
For real life, I absolutely agree, The few cars I have driven with it sucks. Its too touchy, It seems like it waits till the last possible second to slow down.
But in game, it makes a lazy drive real easy!
I started with this - Euro Truck Sim 2 - in VR with the Rift CV1 and was fine for a while, but then one day I was driving through a town and I just suddenly felt very sick, I mean it was instantaneous vomit city.
Not touched it since. I know it was probably due to the lower res and probably darker scenes, which I often had issues with in FPS type games with Rift CV1 and it would probably be better with Index/Quest 2 and even more with Pico 4, but I felt so bad I’m just not prepared to risk it.
Nice. It’s been a while since I’ve done any long hauling.
Arkansas is out. Missouri is up next followed by Iowa and Louisiana was just announced. Mack pinnacle was released as well
Some Arkansas shots
And some randoms
Pretty sure I’ve been in those first two shots Little Rock?
Yep. Little Rock.
It amazes me how they can get something right.
I lived in Idaho for 6 years and everytime i drive through Boise in game it feels like im there.
I cant wait for Minnesota and Wisconsin which is where I spent most my childhood. And then Georgia which is where I currently live.
Started a new career in Euro Truck Sim. Picked up the HORI Truck Control System. Makes trucking more fun and puts all the buttons right on the wheel and shifter.
Starting off in Cologne Germany.
Some more shots as I progress. Level 10 is when I will start looking for a truck of my own. Hoping to go new but Used is always an option.
A few more screen shots. Hoping to have my own truck soon. Greece releases on the 4th of December. Hope to be able to explorer it.
As for now, Jobs are getting longer and paying better. I’m at level 8 currently. 2 or three more jobs and I should be in my very own New truck, hopefully.
I am now certified to haul Explosives, Gases, and flammable liquids.
Nice. Once I have done this years holiday flight and had a bit of Phantom Phun I am going to repurpose my pit for driving sims and Euro Truck sim is something I haven’t played for way too long.
