I was going to share that Delta Force was coming back… but then I saw the trailer, it’s another COD clone not the original style Delta Force series. So never mind.

Looks like the next Mass Effect game is DOA. Industry rumor is that Bioware is no more due to the changes at EA.

If you’re a racing fan, might I suggest:
Barreling across a procedurally generated planet with micro-meteors slamming into the ground around you will trying to hit your gates is an absolute blast. Currently a demo is available that lets you tear around in a 6 wheeled rover that features a full RCS system (ever wanted to correct your line of flight in a jump, well now you can!) and fully tunable suspension on 6 different wheels. Honestly I haven’t had this much fun in a racing title in a while. The handling feel reminds me more of an RC car than a large vehicle, but hey I don’t know what the gravity is, and that’s fine I race RC car’s too! The physics feel right, just the rover doesn’t feel as weighty as I I’d expect. Currently they recommend a controller, no clue if/how it does with a wheel. Don’t think VR is supported, don’t care, don’t need it, I’m using a drone view to drive anyway.
Tons of neat immersion stuff. The afore mentioned micro-metors, dust storms and damage can knock out your drone views forcing a first person view if you want to be able to drive. All sorts of cool stuff in there. If it continues on it’s current path, day one buy for me.

Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War is about to be released, two weeks (or so).
Currently playing FC: Southern Storm by email, it’s a blast. Purely tactical, no fancy 3d graphics.

Cool that he’s got a publisher and it’s actually coming out, that guy has been working on it forever (I remember seeing a thread he started on simhq many years ago).

Yep I remember seeing it on SubSim. I think I still have the original test build he posted there to try out, messed with it for a bit and had fun. Was pretty engaging back then, definitely have to check it out.
