You are building a simnovel in DCS for the tomcat! Awww yissss!
Store page was up and then down again. Given the date, who knows, but it was on the Steam store page here:
Note: Display Port 1.2 means that it is likely a similar resolution to the Vive Pro or the Odyssey Plus, so perhaps not the super duper new high resolution displays after all…
Separate optional controllers, with ‘left / right’ indicating perhaps the new knuckles controllers:
I think Heatblur is managing their press presence…
You and me brother… you and me.
Ditto.
I am not even a shooter fan, but I see SO many possibilities there. It is inspiring.
Using VR hand controllers to shoot stuff in VR is fun! Plain and simple!
When I got my oculus I really convinced myself I would be spending all my time flying…
Till i played the game ‘robo recall’
It came free with the oculus and its such an amazing immersive experience. I love it.
Boneworks has me absolutely convinced that it is either half life 3 with a working title and that will be the thing that sends vr through the ceiling
Or it was an abortive attempt to create hl3 and they rebranded it as Boneworks.
Utterly convinced of this
Store link for anyone looking and completeness.
Not available in Canada. Thanks Gabe! lol
What are the two lenses on the front? Is it active illumination TO the base stations? Because it sorta looks like the inside-out cameras…
Pass-through cameras, used for apps that want to ‘look through’. Not used for tracking like the WMR or Rift S stuff.
Some good info in here:
Ah…would have been cool to have inside out AND outside in tracking depending on how portable you wanted to be.
Will be curious how dark they can get their LCD panels. Again, for us simmers…dark panels are nice to have.
Technically is is under $1,000 (American)
Let me guess. Rec Room, Beat Saber, and Minecraft VR? (LOL…just kidding…)
Thanks for linking the Ars Technica article schurem. The Index is shaping up to be the technically superior choice among the new headsets, if definitely not the economic one. I could follow the read a little more logically than the Tested video. Very tempted to jump in line for one right now. Has anyone heard if the price is scheduled to rise after they go into production?
