And they claim there is zero growth room in DCS, yet it’s better than ever and still improving. Maybe not explosive growth like there was in things like FS2009 and FSX - but DCS is a much more complicated beast, with a high entry bar.

If DCS was so bad, why do we have the MiG-21, Huey, M2000, Harrier, the almost-ready Tomcat, and the list goes on for 3rd party content.

Silver lining - at least it wasn’t an extremely high-profile aircraft that failed as a module. Hopefully ED’s experience will make sure we don’t see that happen to something with more popularity.

Does anybody know if this affects their FSX/P3D side of things? Was that a separate company or did that close down as well?

Separate company, Blue Sky Simulations I believe? And if the info that poped up over on the ED forums is right, that company closed down around the time they announced the end of support for the Hawk.

I think what they were trying to say is that they can’t create more modules under contract conditions that they were used to.

VEAO lacked good system programmers, or experience to manage/find good ones. Had sales people, art asset people, lots of passion etc, but lacked that angle in-house.

I think they had at least one good programmer, but he or she left years ago.
