I didn’t know him as well as other members in the group, but I did follow some of his exploits and could tell that he was/is an awesome guy. Condolences to the family. I hope everyone finds comfort and a path forward.

This 100%.

Some sort of dedicated F-14 night as a tribute would also be nice to add to the overall sentiment.

I have a huge lump in my throat right now. I started a new gig this week and haven’t had a minute to drop into the Spike until today.

Like most here, I’m in utter disbelief. If anyone had the appearance of living forever, it was VictorK2. Like some have said, both mentally and physically, he was the strongest person I knew. He shrugged off hard day’s work, like he lived for it, and made the rest of us feel guilty for being chained to a desk. Well, most - @schurem seems to be cut from similar cloth.

VictorK2 oozed an infectious tenacity to go along with his smile. Whether he was changing a mammoth truck tire, or chasing you in a MiG, you knew that that fight wouldn’t be over until either the tire relinquished or cannon shells were coming through your seat pan. The latter was usually accompanied by some wicked giggling over comms.

I squared up fairly well with him politically. But if he didn’t like the way things were going, he usually told you so, then did something about it. We were decades apart, but like most, he had a way of making one feel kindred.

But most of all, we admired his absolute love of his family. Hard to find more words right now. Thinking of Obi and you girls.

For most of us, in real life having an aircraft formate on your wing would be stressfull. Victork2’s face shows that was not him. He lived for this kind of thing. I once snuck up on him . He was like in this photo flying an sf25c motor falke, I was in my Longeze with a potential speed advantage of over 100knots. I formated, we looked at each other then i went to full power, accelarated away AND climbed. He giggled about this often when we met on the ground. I miss him. A gentle man and a gentleman

I just can’t believe it. As I have said in the lounge, reading the forum on Monday morning was a shock, I had to get some fresh air…

I am thinking of maybe just hanging out on discord Friday evening CEST (if I am home that is). I remember back in December we were talking about him wanting to play the load master on the DCS C-130 but he was always busy with other things.

After some time of inactivity visited the forum again, it’s hard to believe it, even though I didn’t know @Victork2 personally. Rest in peace. I will miss you. Sorry to hear it. All good for your family.

The people shouldn’t die young. As the father of 3 childern I cannot imagine how difficult has to be.

I wish long life for all good people. I wish to have no wars, no diseases, and prosperity for everybody. My wife is thinking that this is the last pre-war summer in Europe.

Words feel hollow in the face of this news. @Victork2 was a truly genuine and wonderful person, one of the finest I’ve had the pleasure to meet in the virtual world. Now the entire world feels heavier without his presence. There is little I can do but to give my deepest condolences to his family. From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry for your loss.

I wasn’t visiting this forum for some time and when I read this today I was devastated. I didn’t met him personally but we engaged from time to time on this forum. He was most enthusiastic person I met in my life. Kind too. Sorry for your loss. I hope the rest of the family is safe. A real tragedy. Godspeed Ace, you will not be forgotten…

I’m not super active here and have been away for a bit but this was absolutely gutting to read when jumping on this morning. I’m so sorry to hear the news of @Victork2 passing.

I loved reading about all his military truck adventures, especially with the family’s involvement, even though it was not flight related, it was fabulous to keep track of the journey and to follow along. His passion for his hobbies and his family were evident. So deeply sorry for you and your family’s loss… know that you and the kids are all part of this family here online as well.

Dear Els, Obi and Lara.

My condolences to you and your family.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

I didn’t know Ace as well as I would have liked to, but he and all of you have made a lasting impression on me.

Others have said it so much better than I can, but looking back I can say, that to me Ace was an embodiment of what I believe the Mudspike Spirit is all about.

I very much hope that all of you will be able to carry through and be able to keep all of the good memories in your hearts.

As others have said in here. If you need any help, then reach out. You are part of the Mudspike family.

Ace “Victork2” Pullen.

Thank you for the time we have been able to spend together on Mudspike. Your loss is keenly felt
