Oh yes, they are absolutely the most highly priced positions, getting thoroughly overpaid to bollocks around a bit!
I’m really happy to report I don’t know what the heck you guys are talking about.

After hitting a deer in our beautiful mazda cx7 and having the insurance write it off and giving us peanuts in way of payout my wife and I have been sharing the pickup. I needed it Monday so agreed to take her to the train station. It was a very frosty morning and we both agreed to follow the bus route as this was most likely gritted and free of ice. No this was not the case, black ice caused the back end to fishtail out. I steered into the skid but it was no help, so we spun till a front wheel caught the kerb and straightened the truck to hit the stone wall around Alnwick Castle front end on

Says deer
Naw man I feel your pain. That’s awful. Don’t have a photo but mine is a 2017 VW GTI. It’s the most delightful drive I have ever owned. But MAN do I hate the stupid, low profile boy-racer tires. They only need to see a NJ pothole from 50 yards and will explode.
I lost my old warrior in much the same way. Its was an 05 but the last of the old shape. I put a silly “A” frame bull bar on the front and when I went down the ditch the bull bar twisted the chassis…off to the scrapper she went. I was distraught as it was my first ever new car.
I will never modify my hilux. Ever. I wasnt even happy having a truck man top put on it but the dogs needed a warmer place lol
2014 VW Golf Mk7 Sportwagen 1.6 TDi 5spd manual.
Purchased about 1 year ago since after the arrival of my 2nd daughter/3rd child my lovely 2007 VW Eos could not seat all of us.
Still have the Eos but it is not getting much use, maybe once per week.
With that nickname, I’d expect you to drive something more akin to this:

Yes, loved my Picard Piranha back in the day.
" Never get out of the car… "
Hitting deer is an issue on this side of the pond too, as this call to a radio show illustrates.
(…BTW, the call was real…which doesn’t say much for the American education system)
Looks like you need to call the Troll Hunter
(that is a documentary film, correct?) ![]()
I can neither confirm, nor deny…
This has happened to me twice. Both times I saw it coming and had no where to go; nothing to do but lay on the horn and wait for the impact.
Exactly what I did.
The guy had the guts to say “Yeah but you could have blown the horn earlier…”
You do live in Italy don’t you? As I recall the last time I drove in Italy, (Trieste…or was it Naples…) there was a lot of horn blowing…not seeing how or when you blew your horn it would have made a difference. He hit you.
Went to Milan once on business. The rental car was blocked in so four guys picked it up and over the other Fiats so I could be on my way.
What a great country!
I rented a car in Valletta, Malta once. I didn’t really know the place at all, so asked the rental agent ‘What side of the road does Malta drive on?’. He replied ‘The side in the shade’. He wasn’t joking, it was Italian levels of fun beep beep traffic. ![]()
