I’ve always liked this. I’ve always heard it as being about realizing the precious times (gold dust in our hands) spent with people you care about, and soaking them in. And then, maybe if you’re lucky, you have these ‘frozen frames’ of memories to reflect on, even after they’re gone…

My wife and I were driving back from vacation last week and “Party in the USA” from Miley Cyrus was playing and all I could think of the entire time was Weird Al’s brilliant parody of that song.
Today I messed around at the keyboard (I cannot really play the piano, but my son is learning it so I had to try it as well. Having fun learning a bit of another instrument).
It was complete coincident that I played a melody that reminded me of something.
I then practiced until I could play it halfway. A fun song of the 90s that many people don’t know. The band is from Sinsheim, Germany. Not far from where I live.

Muse has been one of my favorite bands for probably 20 years at this point, and is definitely one of the acts I’ve seen the most often live (Matt Bellamy seems to have a very strong love for San Diego).
This song just crossed my feed, and it’s kinda blown my mind. I haven’t heard Muse go this hard in probably a decade. REALLY excited for whatever new album is coming out next.
