What we hearing? - Mudspike plays (2020)

Oh I know. The self-important seriousness of it all while also sounding so whiny.

I once spent an entire muse performance right front center with my back to the stage jeering at the fans with a buddy (rammstein was up next and we didn’t want to waste that show fighting to get a good view)

Dunno the dichotomy between voice and music is part of the enticement for me.
They have a glamorous stage presence and clever songwriting…

Are they supposed to be loved by everyone? Hell no, but I for one totally would have loved to see them live then and there.

I for one am sick to the bone of Rammstein…

The Riefenstahl aesthetics in a German band, the irony was never fully believable. But then the stuff with the groupie parties and how their lawyers SLAPPed journalists, that was just too much. To me they’ll always be ripoffs of Laibach, albeit more widely known.

It was like twenty years ago. Back then they were fun, edgy, icky and spectacular. Now… perhaps they should retire.

Meh, musical taste is entirely subjective so I don’t even muster up the energy to debate it.

Sadly we have mostly only crappy mobile phone videos of it, but yesterday was the first Oasis concert in 16 years, in Cardiff.

I was up half the night watching those crappy vids and it made me really emotional as Oasis is my favourite band. So happy to see them performing and thousands of people singing along.

Last saw them live maybe 26 years back.
Nice little tribute to Diogo Jota at the end there!

Yeah that was really classy by them!

I’m honestly surprised he lasted this long… but then again Keith Richards is still going, so I dunno, maybe hard drugs are the answer

Anyway. R.I.P. Ozzie, you were a legend and singer of one of my all time favourite metal songs:

Everyone who saw his last concert knew he was very ill but I was shocked to see he passed so soon after that show.

It finally happened. Its really interesting to me, maybe not so much everyone else.

I historically have only ever liked a few tracks on any album. Always a few stinkers. Mudvayne L.D50 came close with 3 I’m not keen on and that came out when i was 13. However, today, it happened.

IRE by Parkway Drive, is the one…every single track is stellar. I listened to it twice today and its confirmed, greatest album ever made (for me)

The track “crushed” is incredible. Nearly blew a speaker

Your mileage may vary.

That’s how I feel about Def Leppard’s Hysteria and Pyromania. Not a bad track on those albums… for me.
