Management has knocked it out the park.

She’s got a bit of a crush on alex terrible from slaughter to prevail. So she booked “me” tickets for a gig on my 40th birthday in January, to see them. I made a little joke about buying her an el camino for her 40th…and suddenly I’m going to see parkway drive in october.

The system works fellas :muscle::muscle::muscle::muscle:

Maybe it’s not so noteworthy, but since Ozzy’s death I went on and started re-listening to Black Sabbath album in chronological order and goddammit I freaking love them all so much.

So far I went through (at least twice) :
Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master or Reality, Vol.4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, and Technical Ecstasy.

Easily every album above here is 4 or 5 stars out of 5.

Sure some are more iconic than others- Paranoid will always be nostalgically my most favourite ever. EVER.
It also helps that they are quite on the short-ish side, with usually less than an hour runtime.

I can never forget Henry Rollins impression of Ozzy Osbourne when he invited him to open for Black Sabbath.

Static-x are one of my top 5 bands and after the death of wayne static, the new frontman Xero, wears the coolest mask ever in tribute to wayne.

I watched their set at Wacken 2025 last night and it was absolutely phenomenal

For those who enjoyed the Beastie Boys:

According to the CPI Inflation Calculator you would need over 147K a year now to have near the same buying power as the 50K he sings about when this song came out in 1986.

50 cent was born in 1975, so he’d be $3.10 now. :laughing:

Big Head Tood and the Monsters never disappoints.

I saw them live at this show at Red Rocks in 2023. It was great.

I’m not sure people outside the US can watch this video unless you use a VPN
