What we hearing? - Mudspike plays (2020)

Oh man, you should look up the others I mentioned. They’re so good.

One from the playlist tonight. I love Thomas Rhett’s music. One of the best writers of the generation, and I don’t say that lightly. Great song. Sorry about the video. The official video broke the song up.

I love that song! I have a couple of videos of it on my music hard drive for the TV. It’s a great “get up and swing a leg” song - real mood booster.

I really like Red Light… as well

*studio version sounds much better but this performance shows he’s got it live, too.

Some of the best parties I’ve been to were held at the Irish Pub in Bonn. Had some really great times there - the place brought me out of my shell as a young 20-something.

Micks certainly know how to party.

Noel Gallagher has released a new demo track.

I am biased of course, because he is one of my favourite musicians. I like it. Although I have to say I usually prefer his faster songs.

A great song.

I once based a D&D adventure on it.

Gary Clark Jr deserves more attention than I feel he’s received.

Yah… Some good old what we used to call “Space Music”.

Remember when most stereo’s had the “Tokyo lights” thing going on, with the frequency display’s jumping all up and down while the music played?

I would sit in the dark just zoning out while the “Dream Weaver” riffs drove me to a teenaged Zen state.

Good times…

This one is pushing the rules, but I think we’re inside of them. I try to use official videos where I can to support artist. That said, if this violates the rules, I will take it down. I have a feeling it’s gonna be either very popular or really not- Just don’t watch this around kiddos, fellas.

This is the most unique matchup I’ve seen. It’s Diplo (electronic artist), with Dove Cameron (Disney channel star and pop singer) and a character called “Johnny Blue Skies” played by Sean Penn and voiced by one of my favorites, Sturgill Simpson (Country/Bluegrass singer). It’s got a slight disco vibe, a really cool groove, and…oddly…it just works.

Viewer discretion advised.

So… A song I bumped into years ago on Youtube, and at first I looked no further than the gurls, while not sure if I truly liked the song.

Looking into it a bit more, I read about the symbology of the car wreck at the end of the video, and that these gurls represented the Sirens coming to take away the dead drivers soul…

By then, the song was one of my favorites…
