I will always remember Cars for a very specific reason. I was standing on line for a couple of hours to see Empire Strikes Back in the summer of 1980 and someone there had a boom box and it was playing on the radio. I will forever associate Cars with that movie.

I knew Cars was an old track but I had forgotten it was that old.

Am i the only one that listen to this stuff while doing repetitive jobs?
(Like a Database data conversion by hand)

Yes, eight straight hours of beautifully rendered stormy night.
There’s no repetition I can discern
 Amazing job.

I’d probably listen to this for 8 hours instead:

That’s not the one I thought it would be! I saw it and truncated the title in my head.
I thought it was a cover of this (which would’ve been an odd pick for her to cover I admit):

I frigging love this song!
Was it in a Quentin Tarantino movie?!

I think it was in several movies, but right now only Platoon comes to mind.

IIRC it was in Pulp Fiction? Something around Uma Thurman OD / reawakening?

It’s too stoner hippy for pulp fiction.

It’s actually a great pop-corn flick!

Oh it’s a great movie!

But Tarantino is very peculiar about his music, i think he didn’t want any of that Vietnam era vibe anywhere near Pulp Fiction. It’s mostly 60ies California Surf stuff, with a few notable exceptions.

Come to think of it, i can’t really remember any of his movies that came with music associated with the Vietnam era.

Off the top of my head I think you’re right

I guess it’s time for a Tarantino marathon!

With all this talk about Pulp fiction I had to find out if it was on YouTube.
Great music and I am listening to it but it also has some of the extremely sporty dialogue as part of the soundtrack. First track includes the diner robbery scene dialogue no less so I won’t be posting the video, even in spoiler tags.
