That is kinda how I felt about Part 1. Sounds like I don’t need to be in too much of a rush to see Part 2?

Pretty much. Some half decent action. Entirely predicable plot. Overblown emotional speeches trying to inject gravity and weight over and over

On the other hand I have started Fallout and OMFG!
BRILLIANT! I literally cannot quantify how much of a fanboi that show is making of of a game I already loved 251,78%!

Agree on both. Rebel Moon had potential but falls flat. Not bad, just nothing beyond nice look at.
Fallout is…well, only way to put it.

Oh yes … but waiting till the whole series has dropped, then can do a massive binge of billy and the boys

As much as I would like to do the same, my viewing, reading and gaming time is sporadic at the moment. Between puppy, essential chores, eating and sleeping there isn’t time for a lot else…

Hopefully I will have time to watch an episode soon. Love that show.

Finished Fallout and I can’t overstate how blown away I feel. Stellar job in every aspect.

The second season can’t come quick enough.

I’ve come to the conclusion that weekly releases are superior for me.

I’d rather have 3 shows running at once, watching 1 ep of each per week, than have all of a show drop at once, watch it all, then move on to the next one and have to wait 18-2547 months till the next season.

One of the BEST things about old broadcast TV releases was the 20+ episodes were spread out over the year, so you’d get half between Sept and Dec, then the other half between Jan and May, then you only had to wait till Sept to get the next season.
Modern streaming shows not only can’t premiere their next season on the 1st anniversary of when the previous season started, they often don’t even make the 2nd!

Watched Furiosa yesterday. It was hilarious and dumb and spectacular and now I’m hungover.

Watched first ep of House of the Dragon’s 2nd season. Going to be a lot of dead nobility again this year.

Might be a bit late to the party with this one, last night we watched bullet train

Cracking film, good cast, good humour, good action scenes

Agree! I found it one of the most amusing action flicks of the decade.
Brilliantly shot.

EDIT: I classify it as the same Comedy-Action genre of True Lies.

Earlier this year I bought the DVD set of Three Body (the Chinese adaptation of Cixin Liu’s novel ‘The Three Body Problem’)

It follows the book far more faithfully than the recent Netflix version. In fact it is pretty much ‘word for word’ from the book and actually includes more scenes, mainly from the Red Coast facility. But it has one glaring omission - the ‘struggle session’ at the beginning of the Netflix adaptation (that occurs in the middle of the book).

At 30 episodes it is probably about 10 episodes too long - in addition to the extra material there is a a lot of ‘exposition’ and lengthy periods with no dialogue but long moody panning shots of the protagonists.

The production values were a lot better than I expected and overall, if you are a fan of the book, it is definitely worth watching… But it is a bit of a slog.

just went to see Deadpool and wolverine … I can just say it didn’t disappoint, if you liked the first two films, this just cranks the dial to 23… the call backs and cameos are amazing

Not exactly a movie, but it sure feels like that Final Destination franchise. :scream:

It’s also (sligthly, loosely) based on true historical events. I found it a very enjoyable romp.
