What we watching? – Mudspike at the movies

To better understand my confusion when I looked yesterday, The only FBI agent I could find in the IMDb credits is Don Savage who only has 6 credits to his name and of those 6 there are three of them that are listed as uncredited in the film, one of which is WarGames.

Wargames Cast:

Was thinking of Hill Valley and not Hilldale when it came to BTF so that threw me too.

That was it, thank you. Hillsdale was the neighborhood, wasn’t it?

Twin Pine Mall…Lone Pine Mall…same, same.

Hilldale was where Jennifer and Marty lived in the future and it was where Marty was supposed to have the car crash that ended his music career.

The trees are much larger but here is where the drag race was filmed.

Yep, and that was filmed at the Puente Hills mall. This is the entrance to the mall that the Libyans used and “future” Marty used when he came running down it in BTF 3 and watched the whole scene unfold before his eyes.

Fun fact: that’s Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers driving the pickup truck that he was supposed to race against.

He was almost in every Biff gang.
As was Billy Zane.

Yeah, BZ was an unknown in BTTF.

As was Elijah Wood in BTTF2. “You use your hands to play? That’s a baby’s game!”

This was before he was backing up Derek Zoolander in Walkoffs in New York’s Fashion District.

He humbled up a bit after discovering that killer comet a few years later, though.

Whoa, nice! I’m going to enjoy that a LOT.

Two of my best friends dads were in the navy ww2.
Most of their time on Corvettes. They said they were sick from the time they got on till they got off it bobbed on the water like a cork. When they weren’t puking they were chopping ice so they wouldn’t capsize.
They said " they would give their left nut for a Destroyer".
:astonished: :upside_down_face:

This looks really good, but Tom has some big shoes to fill…

I like the movie idea but the CGI is looking overdone again. :frowning:

There is a bit of a shortage of WWII vintage naval vessels that are seaworthy. The real problem is budget. The more you spend on CGI, the better it looks. Conversely, cheap looks cheap. Considering the likely amount this could make in the box office, there is no way to spend enough and still turn a profit.

Hanks wrote this one, he doesn’t do it often.

…and yet another mode of transportation one should avoid sharing with Tom Hanks…

For the record I have:
FEDEX (MD-11 cockpit) - Castaway
Airbus 320 - Sulley
Yacht - Jove vs.Volcano
Spacecraft - Apollo 13
Cargo Ship - Captain Phillips

…and now USN WWII-era destroyer…am I missing any?

walking (especially infront of tiger tank) - saving private ryan

True enough…but he was shooting his .45 at the thing so…but he did a lot of walking in the film and a lot of his buddies got killed so, Yes! Walking or hiking counts! Good catch! :slightly_smiling_face:
