When the cat distribution system chooses you🐱

We just lost our neighborhood orange cat. He spent most days in our house. But despite interviewing neighbors several blocks around, we were never able to find the true owners. “Miso” (we called him) was not our cat but I’ve never been so gutted from the loss of a pet.

The worst is when a pet goes missing and you never find out what happened… :face_holding_back_tears:

Yes, I am having a hard believing all those kittens are stray. There’s two sides to that story.

Yeah. I lost my first cat that way, Mao Tse Tung. He was an orange tomcat I got as a semiferal kitten. He had plumes on his ears like a lynx and would bring me half eaten mice as tokens of his respect. He could purr like a little lawnmower engine and unlike many pets, he could say his own name

One day he didn’t come home. It was weeks until I found out he had been killed by a car. Rest in Peace, little chairdude.
