At least you got woken up by man’s best friend. He may have just wanted to go outside but he still loves you
Yeah not all bad lol. His breathe stinks but he is comfortable
I feel bad for posting after @Victork2’s awful work night…but I’m only on leave for a short while so need to clock the good moments.
I put the girls to bed and went to see some mates at the pub…conveniently located a good 30 mins drive away…or alternatively, a 10-15 minute kayak trip!
My ride and the pub in the background. I got home just at sunset.
Oooh! Just the man I wanted to talk to…
@Bearhedge quick question. I have a wood floor and new skirting boards to fit in my downstairs living room.
Is a double bevel mitre saw worth the extra money or can I do it all with a single bevel? I can’t really see the need for the extra when I can just flip the board and make another cut but this is not something I’ve dealt with before
@Victork2 my first thought is same as yours, I can’t see the need for the double bevel.
I haven’t done heaps of that kind of work either, to be fair, so there might be jobs where the double comes to its own…but my reaction would be to go single bevel.
Maybe just walk through the room first and think through each of the cuts and how the workpiece will be placed on the saw. As I said, I can’t see why single bevel wouldn’t do the job but I might have missed something
@Bearhedge thanks mate. We are on the same page then. I went through and did exactly and decided I wouldn’t need a double.
Fixing the plumbing in the space we rent to keep our tools and stuff while my ever critical assistant watches keenly and learns (how not to do it). It was a very easy fix, only took about 30 minutes and these fuggers went with a filthy red bucket under the sink for almost four years!!
The farmer who lets us the place gave me a whole bunch of used wooden beams. Primo building material for us. I built a thing to keep them off the floor in a horizontal position so they can dry out and await their second life as structural members for sheds, garden houses, etc.
We also built this thing here to keep the tools that are not in the van handy. The little pots up top contain things like screwdriver bits, washers, small screws, etc.
If and when I get the time, I may build myself a hefty work bench out of some of the aforementioned wood.
Been doing some aerial refueling testing. Boom and MPRS
Here’s our gauges during contact.
MPRS Panel with receiver on the right drogue
Boom receiver in the center of the envelope
Posted this over at Hoggit and the mods deleted it.
Huh. Wonder what rule they thought you violated with that.
Actually none. One of the mods got back to me and said they’re trying to keep things DCS centric. Being real world, it didnt fit.
Hopefully they now cut down on the ■■■■ posting and what should I buy garbage that is there too.
Hoggit mods are fickle and arbritrarily enforce rules or content themes.
Seems to be a common problem everywhere on the internet, really. Except here.
Those SSS lights! Are those ancient things mounted on an internal panel?! We’ve only got them on exterior panels fortunately.
I think there’s a metric ton of old stock somewhere from the 50’s that still has to be used by law
Moving away from actual gauges and old school lights, in the next mod. The panel will be one or two touch monitors, with only 1 switch. Somehow I dont see it working well.
For some reason pilots are already convinced that the EICAS/MFD/PFD’s are touch screen if the vast amount of fingerprints are any evidence
internal screaming intensifies
So how’d you like it?
