I love that park! And that Wings of Eagles roller coaster is legit.
First thought was San Diego because of the flat tops but I suspect that is actually Ford Island and Pearl Harbor.

My favorite was Lightning Rod. We rode them all though. And Wings of Eagles was cool. Just over too soon.
Yes indeed, it’s Pearl Harbor. We made a quick stop at Honolulu before pressing on to another island. A lot of history right there in this photo…Battleship Row, with the USS Arizona memorial, Ford Island Airfield, the USS Missouri. One of these days I will get to stay long enough to visit properly rather than just take a photo as I fly over.
Bees had commandeered the irrigation control box for their own purposes.
Someone decided to do something about it since the last time I walked by a few weeks ago.
No clue how long the hive will survive now that it has been removed from its original location.

The 134th ARW Tn ANG had a new hangar built at McGhee-Tyson. Coincidentally large enough to fit the new KC-46 tanker. They brought in a “Pegasus” from the NH ANG for the ribbon cutting. And maybe to help sway a decision to swap out the -135.
Your pics reminded me of a story I read today … Bees are now legally considered fish in California!

I mean, Bumblebee IS a brand of tuna…
Does the Pegasus still suck as badly or did they fix it?
I never knew that.

So if the fly become an endagered species, and an angler goes flyfishing…

“Acceptable limitations” is the best way to describe it.
The vision system for AAR still isn’t performing as intended. The displays are black and white, not color. And as predicted, eye fatigue is an issue due to the 3D effect.
It can’t maintain the same alert posture the -135 can.
As an aircraft, its solid. Especially the front end. All glass and certified for all precision approach types.
Overall there are still growing pains to overcome. But it can refuel.
Cool beans, that’s good to hear. I wonder if the eye fatigue thing can be alleviated by allowing the user to finetune it for his own IPD, etc. I know for my VR headset, the difference of .01 in some .ini file can decide between sweet simulator bliss for hours or Thor beating my brain with his mighty hammer for the rest of the weekend.
A good friend of mine is a tanker pilot in the Reserves and a 767 pilot for Delta- her squadron just transitioned to the KC-46, and she’s been singing its praises- and posting some cool pics and vids showing her learning how to AAR as the recipient.
So I go rooting around for a hammer behind the seat of not my usual company truck and I find a dirty old watch that at first looked like the face was all cracked. It cleaned up pretty nice!
…
Keeps good time too. Man, the discarded stuff I find boggles my mind sometimes. Seems like this watch might be worth a few hundred.
Wow!! That is an epic find
It’s a monstrous, heavy and gaudy looking watch LOL! Funny thing is I’ve been looking for something similar and now I have it. Good weekend watch. I wear a G-SHOCK at work. I would destroy that DIESEL in one day at work.
